The Blue Whiting (Micromesistius poutassou) is a fish of the Gadidae family (white fish). It is common in the Northern Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea.

Characteristics

It has a strong, spindle-shaped body. Its head is large and triangular in shape. Bluish-grey on the dorsal part and whitish on the ventral part (belly area).
